Sustainability that means something
Long-lived and healthy wetlands and forests are examples of sustainable biological systems. Invisible chemical cycles redistribute water, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon through the world's living and non-living systems, and have sustained life since the beginning of time.
DIV1 takes this example of sustainability from our surrounding environment. Sustainability is more than just separating the construction waste; it is giving due consideration to the long term impact of a project on the environment and community. When this mindset is cultivated at the conception stage of construction, real sustainability is possible and meaningful.
